Texas Carnival
In 2010 HiS PRINT Ministries began a street-reach ministry fondly named the “Texas Carnival.” The first three annual carnivals were hosted at the local soccer and baseball fields. The first carnival in 2010 was provided strictly for the campers who attended camp, and in 2011 we invited the parents of the campers as well. The turnout was amazing! In 2012 we moved the carnival to the new field, “The Nest” where the European Baseball Federation Baseball Tournament was hosted. The Texas Carnival was held on the last day of the tournament, and many players and families from participating teams (Poland, Slovenia, Lithuania and Croatia) stayed and enjoyed the games and listening to the music and testimonies.
In the following year, the city of Sisak asked if we would bring the Texas Carnival to the City River Park in downtown center. Since 2013, we have been blessed to host the carnival for the city of Sisak.
The event has quickly exploded into an annual not-to-miss event for the entire community with Texas-themed carnival booths and games (complete with prizes), food, fun and live music and a dance camp recital performance and a presentation by the Drama Campers. We also share Christ by sharing our love and testimonies during this fun community event. The National News Channel even came down from the capital city of Zagreb to view the festivities and interview some HiS PRINT team members.
